You can add password to your server. Yes it is true when more people connect to your server the speed of internet slow down. It is a same as the traffic on the road is increased then the you will have take more time to pass through that road. when more traffic on the road and the road is congested you will face many problem.

That is same in network terminology that when more user connect to your server means more traffic on your server many node will send its data to server and the server will have to communicate them with the world and the connection will be slow down.

You can add password to your server as same as you add password to your WiFi. On network setting go to the option add password and your password will be added. No one will use you server.

Thanks.

It is just right that we set up a password for our network, of course for security reasons. Yes it is true that if more people are connected to the same network, it will slow down the connection.

The bandwidth will be shared. Bandwidth is a term use to determine the amount of data or information that can be transmitted over a connection. So the more people using it, the lesser bandwidth they will get.

Here are the steps on how you can set up a password to your network. First, log in to the web interface: https://192.168.0.1, then click on the HOME tab in the DLINK configuration screen and click on the WIRELESS button.

Click on the OPEN SYSTEM BUTTON beside AUTHENTICATION, then select the ENABLED button next to WIP and set the encryption key to 128" bit. Set the key type to ASCII and choose a 13 digit password for the key 1 field.

Keep your password safe.
