Here let me guide you on every aspect that would solve the problem. It would have been very easy if you have added through what type of connection you are trying to connect to the internet. Its ok, let me add the troubleshooting for all kind where it could be useful. Someday or the other. Let’s get started from WiFi.

  • If you are connecting through the WiFi network there are some chances for the WiFi configuration to be set incorrectly or “wep” security key incorrect. Check the Configuration and reconfirm the security key once again with your internet service provider.
  • If trying to connect using the Ethernet cable. Check out whether the IP Address is assigned properly or reconfirm to your Internet service provider on whether you need to change the IP setting to Obtain IP automatically. There are some chances for the cable to be faulty, so try replacing the cable. Also go to Command Prompt and type as ipconfig. You may get the IP address. Then type in as ping (IP address) enter the IP that you obtained without bracket, with a single space. Check out whether you get Data sent= 4 received= 4 Lost=0. If yes, then check security setting. If no then contact your internet service provider.
  • If it is broadband or DHCP then check out whether it is valid. If found not valid then. Just Shut down your computer and remove all the modem and router from it after some time just reconnect it. Now check whether it is ok. Some times these kind of power cycle may also solve the problem. If still you find the same problem then run windows Network Recovery to solve the problem.
  • If the problem still persist in your broadband connection then just remove the router and try connecting alone with the modem. If it works the contact your router manufacturer to troubleshoot it.
  • If you are able to connect to the modem but not to any sites on internet then just call on your internet service provider for help.

So based on the connection you have follow the steps and I hope this may help you to fix the problem. Explore the world’s knowledge through internet. See you.
