Hi,

You never mention the Explorer's current version well its a common problem in Internet explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 8.0 and 9.0 Many a times web setting disabled or un-check from viruses. To follow these steps you can resolve your problem.

1) Go to Internet Explorer.

2) Go to Tools Menu.

3) Go to Internet Options.

4) In internet options go to Advance Tab.

5) In advance tab you will find accessibility Option in accessibility option you will have to tick on Play System Sound and then go to Multimedia Option and click on Play sound in Webpages.

Then go to Security option in Advance tab tick on TLS1.2 and then apply the whole settings and Ok after these steps close your web browser and then re-open the browser and you can hear sound in browser.

After these steps your Skype issue will also be resolve because Skype features contains security tabs.

Thanks.

If the sound works when you visit YouTube with Mozilla Firefox but not when using Microsoft Internet Explorer, try to uninstall and reinstall your sound card. Right-click “My Computer” then select “Properties”. Go to “Hardware” tab then click “Device Manager”. In Device Manager window, expand “Sound, video and game controllers” then right-click your sound card and select “Uninstall”. When it is complete, close Device Manager then restart the computer.

After booting, run the installer for your sound card to install it back. After this, visit YouTube again with Microsoft Internet Explorer then see if it works. If this doesn’t work, update your operating system to the latest Service Pack to update Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you have Windows XP, download Windows XP Service Pack 3.

This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows XP. If you have Windows Vista, download Windows Vista Service Pack 2. This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows Vista. If you have Windows 7, download Windows 7 Service Pack 1. This is the latest and only Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows 7.

If you have Windows 8, you should update immediately to Windows 8.1 on the Windows App Store. For Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10, you can also download the latest browser from Internet Explorer Downloads. For Skype, just install the latest. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select Skype among the applications and click “Uninstall”.

Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and click everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, close Revo uninstaller then download the latest Skype. See if this works.
