Internal Bluetooth doesn’t work and show “USB device not recognized” message

My Internal Bluetooth doesn't work. A message pop up saying "USB device not recognized". I'm using Dell Vostro 1200. I don't understand why it says USB device not recognized, my Bluetooth is internally built-in not external.

I ever used my Bluetooth before, it works fine. What I know, if my Bluetooth works, the Bluetooth icon will appear at the bottom of the screen, where I can right click them and start choosing the options either send file or receive file.

But every time my Bluetooth doesn't work, a message "USB device not recognized" will appear and once I click the notification message, the recommendation given will be Try reconnecting the device. If Windows still does not recognize it, replace the device. Is that mean I have to replace my internal Bluetooth?

Can someone help me how to fix this thing?

From your screenshot, I see that you are using windows XP. The built in Bluetooth device still needs a Bluetooth driver which is not embedded with windows XP. Whereas windows seven has almost all necessary drivers pre-installed by default.

The problem may be in your Bluetooth driver.

Make sure from where you installed your Bluetooth driver.

Did it come with your personal computer or you just downloaded it from any third party software company.

Another reasonable cause may be your computer is affected with a virus which destroyed your Bluetooth driver to work normally. If you find that the problem is about installing driver, you can find a better one from internet for your specific model.

If the problem still exists, you should first try to PAIR your device with your computer before file transfer or any other operation.

When all other option fails, you may install the PC suit (or whatever it may be for other devices) software in your computer.

This should solve the problem.
