Any walkthrough regarding the installation on Win 8 on an HP TouchPad? How should I proceed? What about its suitability? I know that Win 8 was built for smartphones and tablets…will it mount on Win 8?? Is it possible to flash Win 8 Developer Preview on my model?

Hello Alfonso,

To install win 8 on your touchpad you will need to get an external DVD drive and connect it to the touchpad. Then get the win 8 installation CD and then insert in the external DVD drive and the restart your touchpad.

When the touch pad boots, choose the option for it to boot from the CD drive, and then the installation will begin. Just follow the steps as the operating system will guide you through, and then choose to format the touch pad hard drive so as to remove the old operating system and install the new one.

I guess win8 should work well on the touchpad for its features are not very different from those of the tablets and smart phones.

Hi

First of all, you know that Hp Touchpad is a tablet computer. It runs WebOS out of the box. It can not officially run any other os including Windows 8. And you can not install Windows 8 in it because you can not install it on a tablet. It will only come pre-installed on tablets when it will be launched.
