Installation problem of Fix-It Utility Pro 11

Hi everyone,

I wanted to install Fix It in my pc, my operating system is Windows XP. According to the manual of Fix-It, I need to turn off any other antivirus software, but when I ran the installer, it mentioned that I have to uninstall the antivirus of my system. I turned off my antivirus by entering to Security centre in XP and selecting all components off, but still I was unable to do the registration. Can anyone suggest me the solution? I would be grateful for that.

There is a probability that the Windows Installer is attempting to copy the Fix-It file to a directory but it can’t do so because of a permission issue. To have this resolve, check the following:

  1. Make sure you have the right Operating System (Windows XP, Vista with 32 or 64-bit, or Windows 7 with 32 or 64-bit)
  2. Connect to the internet for any product updates and to have it registered
  3. The browser should be Internet Explorer 5 or later
  4. Turn off all anti-virus
  5. Login to the system as the administrator
  6. Make sure you are installing the Fix-It Utilities application in the right folder
