In my PC I have installed MS Office 2003. But when I open MS Word, a problem occurred. The message showed "Please wait the windows configures Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003.” Then the error number 25090 occurred. What is the solution to repair this?

Hi,

I have encountered this type of problem before. I did reinstall and somehow the same problem occurred.

There is a missing file during installation that might have caused this. Try not re-installing Microsoft; instead follow this link to step by step instructions. It’s quite long, make sure you understand it before doing the steps Open link.

Good luck!

I have encountered the problem that I haven't any kind of MS Office 2003 installed in my computer. Rather I have to only work with MS Word 2007.

You have the problem into your computer memory chip. You must change the memory chip of your computer. Either you have need to re-installed MS Office 2003.

You have got message that says “Please wait the Windows configures Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003”. Configures mean properly setup your MS Office 2003 into your computer. Variety of solution you must find if you practice it yourself. There is no system of repair for this. You may repair the parts of your computer.

To fix the problem, just insert your Microsoft Office 2003 setup CD on your optical drive then wait for setup to start automatically. If setup didn’t start automatically, start Windows Explorer then right-click your optical drive or the Microsoft Office 2003 CD and select “Explore.” Locate “Setup.exe” on the CD and double-click it to start setup. After setup starts, click to cancel setup and then exit setup.

The reason for doing this is that setup fixes the error condition when it is first invoked that’s why you don’t have to complete the setup program. You may encounter this error on Microsoft Office 2003 or Microsoft Office 2007.

When the error is triggered, you may receive something like this: “Error 25090. Office Setup encountered a problem with the Office Source Engine, system error: -2147023836. Please open SETUP.CHM and look for “Office Source Engine” for information on how to resolve this problem.” There are several reasons why this error happens.

One of the several reasons for triggering “error 25090” is if two people installed Microsoft Office on the same machine. Another reason for this error is if both installations were performed using the AllUsers=”” parameter to set the installation for the installing user account only.

Another reason for this error is when both people were prompted to remove files that were copied locally at the end of the installation but both people didn’t remove the files.
