Input string incorrect format error on creating MSI Package

Hello,

I’m getting the following error always I try to create a single MSI package, I mean a software package.

Input string was not in a correct format.

Because of that error I was unable to create the software package yet.

Please give me a solution to solve this.

Hi Carol,

The following comes when format isn't proper for an input type, Please check, if while creating an MSI package is there any field which is constrained to number type and string is provided in that particular field. If so, please provide proper format for all input  types.

Another solution can be you can declare all the varied fields as string which will work on both numbers and string as well.

Incase, above is not helping you, Kindly provide more detailed information for this issue. You can provide some steps back snapshot so that I can see where you are doing it wrong.
