Hi, I had a Microsoft surface Rt32GB, but it shows nearly 16GB available. So How to increase available hard disk space? Thanks in advance.
Unfortunately,Windows-based tablets have limited storage space because it Windows OS and Apps occupies a lot of space. You can add space instead of deleting files by using OneDrive, microSD memory card, or external by external Hard disk and USB flash drives.
You can increase up to 3.5GB by deleting the recovery, but it’s risky. So instead of directly removing recovery create a new recovery image into a USB.
Try to delete Prefetch and temporary files.
Manage your virtual memory by shrinking your paging file. Make sure that your recycle bin empty because you may feel that we deleted files but not permanently deleted. You restore them from recycle bin if you want them back, means it indicates files are present in hard disk but moved to some other folder.
The Microsoft Surface RT tablet’s internal storage comes in two sizes: 32 GB and 64 GB. Now, if you have the 32 GB model, I don’t think you can upgrade the storage to 64 GB because it is built-in and cannot be removed just like its battery.
