This problem may arise due to one of the following reason.

  •  The database file named 'Secedit.sdb' is not available or deleted or got corrupted.
  •  The service pack2 was not properly installed and has got errors in it.

Please try following ways to clear the issue:

  • Local group policy should be created again or it should be repaired.
  • Merge the Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 installation setup files with the original software version of the Microsoft Windows XP Professional installation setup files.
  • Use the original Windows XP CD and repair the Windows. Then repeat the above process.

Hi,

Mainly I think it is your Windows cd disk problems. I think your disk has many problems to copy disk. Your disk can not copy properly. You should bring a new Windows cd for setup. I think new Windows cd will copy correctly and Windows setup will complete correctly.
