I want to make some advanced search. I have lots of research projects to do and I need an effective and popular online search engine that will give me the exact answer or definition of those given words. I need to submit it the next day. Share with me some tips on how to make a good research.

Why not try Google??
you can make use of the Google advanced search options too by using the advanced tab available on the left side of the searches. There are quite a few options available such as latest results,based on timings etc. Give it a try if it gives you the satisfactory results.
If not then there a few other available too like BIng (Windows) or the Yahoo search engine.

Google is the best search engine in the world. For research you need to modify your search. Such as if you want to find references of books about a topic then:
1) Write the topic on Google search box.
2) Then select more.
3) Hit books.
Then you will have answer of your topic with the reference of different books.
You can also use other search engine such as Bing and Yahoo and you can use Wikipedia, Encyclopedia Britannica for best result.
