Hi, Fenton

Error reporting feature of Windows can be very valuable if the system is not working properly. If you wish to turn it off,

Please follow these steps.

  • Click the start menu and type in ‘Problem reports settings’ into the search bar.
  • Click on ‘Choose how to report problems’ item in the list.
  • Click on the ‘Never check for solutions (not recommended) and click ‘Ok’.

This will surely fix your issue.

Thanks and regards,

Skarbos Jay.

To disable Error Reporting (in Microsoft Vista), go to  Start  > Control Panel

Change View to  Classic View .
Double click on Problem Reports and Solutions.

On the left hand panel titled "Tasks", click on Change Settings .

Click on Advanced settings link

Select  "Off" on 'the problem reporting'

You will be shown that "Choose how to check for solutions to computer problems" options are grayed out.
Click Ok to exit this dialog.

A message notifying you that Error Reporting is turned off will be displayed.
Close it to resume.

I hope that helps! 🙂

Hello Fenton,

I understand it is really very disgusting. You can disable this easily. Just go to control panel from start menu. Now select system maintenance and select problem Report and Solution. From left side select “change settings”.

Now a window will appear.

In that select the option “Ask me to check if the problem occurs”.

Now click on the “Advance Settings” right below the option.

Now select off on top of that window. Click OK.

Same way click OK to all the windows.

Your problem would be solved.

Thank you,

 Riley Weaver.
