I received error message - 3194 on iTunes iOS 5.1

Hello Guys,

Have a look at the error message. I received this error message on iTunes iOS 5.1.

I tried several ways to get a remedy of this issue but no result. I also searched several sites but no appropriate result.

Have you any idea for the error?

Please help.

I received error message – 3194 on iTunes iOS 5.1

You could try this solution:

Locate this hosts file.

If you are a mac user use this /etc/hosts

Windows user use this c:windowssystem32driversetchosts

Open the hosts file using Notepad and with Administrator Privileges, type the following at the boom of the note pad.

74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

Connect a device that you use (iPhone, iPad, iPod etc..) for your iTunes to the computer

Turn of the devices or put them in sleep mode by holding the power button for atleast 10 seconds.

Release the power button but onto the home button until your device appears in iTunes recovery mode.

When the iOS has been updated, delete the 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com on the hosts file. iTunes will work nicely then.
