I need a program to make picture into sketch.

Hello Techyv,

Yesterday I decided to make a program to make picture into sketch. I tried some software but it seems like it’s not working properly. I have to print it out for our monthly issue for a magazine. Can you give any suggestion? I have to make the presentation and the layout as elegant as it could be. If there are also some tutorials available it would be more helpful.

There are many programs that you can use to make a sketch but one good program and totally free is FotoSketcher. You can download this program accessing this link. It will help you if you watch a tutorial. A good tutorial of this program is at this link and the second part at this link.

Hi Mathew,

You can use some of alternative softwares like:

1. Photo to Sketch 4.0:This software can convert your images into sketches. It has different sketch effect to choose from like pen sketch, pencil sketch and pastel sketch. You can follow this tutorial on how to install and use it.

2. The AKVIS Sketch: If you are using a MAC OS you can use this software to convert your images into sketches. It offers two different conversion styles (Classic and Artistic) that will help you to create a wide variety of pencil drawings. You can also add colors into your sketches. You can follow this tutorial on how to use it.

You can also use some online application which is easier to use like Snaptouch. All you need to do is to import your image, choose an option you like (Dark Pencil Sketch and Refine Faces).

Or if you have Photoshop software you can follow this tutorial.
