Any opinions on Tableau Server 8 "Kraken"?  Can it parse unlimited text files?  I have used Tableau 6.1 and I was impressed with it's high speed performance data engine.  I have a Core Duo 2.66 GHz desktop with 4 GB Ram and Windows OS 8.

Hello,

For me, it is now more user-friendly compared to the older versions. Tableau 8 has new exciting set of features that will make any tableau user salivate. I will enumerate to you my top 5 favorite:

1.   They have a new visualization like the Bubble Charts, Tree maps and Word Cloud.

2.   It now has a Javascript Api.

3.   It can now connect to Google Analytics, Sales Force, HortonWorks, Cloudera, and MapR.

4.   It has new analytic features like forecasting, visual grouping and Cohort analysis.

5.   It’s Viz engine is even faster and more powerful.
