Few days ago, I downloaded and installed a game called “9Dragons”, a martial arts MMORPG. It was working properly at first without any errors. Now, whenever I start the game to play it, this error 230 appears and the game stops working. I didn’t know what caused it because it works fine at first.

This error 230 with GameGuard is actually an initialization error. If you keep receiving this when you start the game, it means you need to do some updating on your machine. First, check that your computer meets the requirements.

9Dragons is a free to play 3D MMORPG with fluid martial arts combat, intense PvP, and lush environments developed by JoongWon Games published by RedFox Games released on February 14, 2017. It supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. It requires 1 GHz Intel Pentium 3 or faster processor, 2 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 2MX or better, Microsoft DirectX 9.0c, 5 GB free space, and broadband internet connection.

If you verify that everything is compatible, try updating Microsoft DirectX. You can do this by installing the latest Service Pack for your operating system. For Windows 7, download Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1. This is the latest and only Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows 7. Optionally, you can download Platform update for Windows 7 after installing Service Pack 1.

This update is intended for Microsoft Windows 7 Service Pack 1. Don’t forget to restart the computer after installing Service Pack 1. For Windows 8, you need to update to Windows 8.1 from the Windows store and the same for Windows 10. Try also updating your video card driver to the latest from the manufacturer’s website. Try downloading from the following if you have one of these video cards:
