Hi. I just purchased an AirPort Extreme that has the simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency band, wireless security and MAC address filtering. Can someone help with AirPort Extreme setup or is it just plug and play? Would non-Apple products be able to connect with it?

Your AirPort Extreme is easy to set-up. AirPort Extreme has a built-in assistant in it’s iOS and OS X. All you need to do is plug your AirPort and connect it to your DSL or Cable Modem. Then after, select your AirPort Extreme wifi settings on your MAC or iOS unit.
Procedures:
1. Click the wifi icon
2. Select your AirPort base station
 
  
 3. Select Create a New Network
 4. Name your new network and create a password
  
  
 5. Click Done and enjoy
You can use its USB port for your printer network sharing. For non-apple products, you have to set-up a guess network were in only the wifi and/or internet can be use. Your AirPort is compatible with 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11ac devices. This can be set-up from your MAC or iOS device. An Airport Utility App is available for free.
