Hi guys.  I just installed Internet Explorer 9  on my Windows 7 64 bit desktop.  Internet Explorer just crashes when I launch it.  My McAfee antivirus keeps on blocking the Active-X controls inside IE.  Can someone help me with Activex McAfee Windows 7 64 bit?

Hello Donnaa. You can adjust your Internet Explorer ActiveX Macafee settings. Internet Explorer might not be configured to download ActiveX controls for security reasons, or maybe you declined to install the ActiveX control when Internet Explorer instructed you to download, install, or run the control. I have a step by step procedure for you to follow:

First open Internet Explorer, then click the """"tools"""" menu. Click """"internet Options"""". On the security tab, click the """"custom level"""" button then scroll down the security settings list until you see ActiveX controls and plug-ins. For automatic prompting for ActiveX controls, click enable. Scroll down to Download signed ActiveX controls and click enable or prompt. Then scroll down to run ActiveX controls and plug-ins followed by clicking enable or prompt. Scroll down again to script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting. Click enable or prompt. Then lastly, click ok twice. After you have completed these tasks, retry your Windows validation to run the test again. I hope this information helps.
