I need to download GIS Cyprus digital map. Digital mapping is really new for me but I am ready to venture and explore in this field of application it is also includes a mapping utility for editing, creating and etc. I hope you can tell me more regarding this issue. Thank you.

First, you have to know what is GIS.
GIS stands for geographic information system. It contains all kinds of geography-referenced information for mapping, managing, analyzing, data capturing, etc. You can call it as postal map, zip code map or postal code map. The map shows details of your location, date of last revision, etc.
