I’m having this nbs-irc ERROR, can anyone help me?

Maybe you could help me figure out why I’m getting this error message: "DB_ERROR ChangeHwndIcon (Unable to Access File: nbs.ico)" and

"Unable to connect to server (Permission denied) http://forum.undernet.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13619"?

I tried everything on this below video but then I get the error message above. What might be the reason for that?

I have checked some posts saying that they cannot also connect but I get no answer for my query. I have also tried connecting to Underneath server but it does not help. I even had the chance to install mIRC but still did not work.

I temporarily disabled my firewall and it was fine. But could you please tell how to really get rid of the error message permanently? I have tried different possible ways yet nothing really happened.

If you already tried everything and you still can not make a connection, maybe there is really something wrong with your system. I’ve already used mIRC before and I haven’t encountered a single problem using it on my computer.

Try doing a clean installation of the program just to restore it to its default configuration and possibly fix any corrupted files that may have developed when you first installed it.

Uninstall mIRC from your machine then check your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system.

For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like Norton SystemWorks, or Norton Utilities.

After the disk check, this time check your computer for any sign of infection. Update your antivirus then run a full system scan on your whole computer.

Make sure to scan the folder System Volume Information which is located in the root of every drive. Change the settings in the Folder Options to make hidden files and folders visible to make this folder visible in Windows Explorer.

Install mIRC again after the virus check and then see if this fixes the problem.
