Hi Team,

I am using windows SP 3 as my OS in HP pavilion laptop. I am trying to download windows updates manually. But I got an error message.

I faced 0x80072EE2 error message when I tried to download windows updates. I have read recent FAQs and googled for solution but in vain. Please fix my issue.

Hello there,

Error 0x80072EE2 means Internet connection timeout or your internet connection is not running.

Please kindly check your:

  1. Internet connections -> please try to browse a page, if it is cant open the web site, please reconnect your internet.
  2. Windows firewall is turned on by opening control panel -> firewall.
  3. Temporary disable your antivirus program when downloading the updates from Microsoft.
  4. Disable software acceleration program.
  5. Add the windows update to trusted site list.
