I like listening to songs, but I think my speaker has gone down as it has stopped working recently. Can it be fixed, or do I need to buy a new speaker?

Don’t jump to conclusions so quickly. There are many things which can cause such a problem.

Follow the steps to check it –

1. Look for a power button and check if the speaker is getting power supply or not.

2. If the power is okay, then check if all the connections are correctly made. AUX cable should be connected to the motherboard and woofer. The speakers should be properly connected to the woofer.

3. Now check if all the volumes are turned up and none of them is on mute. Look for the master volume of the system and of the music player. And also check the woofer.

4. If all the volumes are okay, then see if any other video or game, etc. is making the speaker sound or not. You can check the speaker’s connection to the system by going to the control panel and then in the speaker’s menu play the demo audio.

5. If the audio plays on the system, but still the speaker does not sound, then try connecting the speaker to another system.

6. If they do not play, then there is a problem with the speakers. And you need to get a new one.

7. In some cases the wires are faulty. So replacing them and checking is also suggested.
