This issue occurs due to a missing or corrupted USB controller driver. If this is the case, try the following solution below:

1. Go to Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device Manager.

2. Search for the USB Controller option and select it. Right-click into it and select Uninstall.

3. Close the Control Panel and restart your computer. It will detect the controller and re-install the driver automatically.

Hi,

The message shows you that your printer is not connected to your computer. There are several reasons behind it. Though your printer in connected to your computer with an USB cable so the problem with network connection is ignored. There may be a problem with the USB cable though it is new. Suppose there is no problem with your USB cable. Now you can remove your printer program from Add/Remove Program and reinstall your printer to your computer carefully. You should be more careful while installing the printer. Verify all the options carefully. Now print a test page and keep track for the message.

I hope you understand it.

Thanks

If you have a brand new printer and you want to print, make sure the printer software is installed. You won’t be able to use it by just connecting the USB cable because there’s no way for the system to identify and access the device. It cannot be recognized and you won’t be able to use it to print.

When buying a brand new printer, there is usually a driver CD included. Insert that CD on your optical drive and install the printer’s driver software. On the other hand, if the package doesn’t come with a CD, you can always download the driver from the manufacturer’s website. For HP printers, go to HP Customer Support – Software and Driver Downloads.

Here, enter your printer’s serial number or model number then click to search. When your product is located, click it to go to the download page. Next, go to the download tab. Your operating system should be detected automatically. If the page shows a different operating system, click to change then select your correct operating system. Download and install all available drivers and software for your printer.
