I’m using a 32-Bit OS and working on a 32-bit WAS6. I upgrade it to WAS 7, planning to change the OS to bit Red Hat 6 (64 bit).

I want it to have a fast performance.

I really need your suggestions on this.

Hello Marcelo,

Redhat 6 is a good Linux operating system, and therefore you will need to know how it works before you switch to it. Since linux is command based, the commands that were using on the WAS6 system might not be the ones that you will encounter on redhat 6 since different linux distributions have different commands for the same functions. So you will need to dedicate some time to understand the Redhat 6 commands to use it well.

Otherwise the decision is yours, Redhat 6 is a good operating system. To ensure that the system is fast enough you will have also to consider upgrading the RAM capacity so as to increase the CPU speed in carrying out its processes.
