How to view SWF without having to download entire file

Does the SWF have to wait for a file/presentation to be fully downloaded before beginning to start playing the file? Isn’t is supposed to stream videos without fully downloading the whole file. It is slow and I would prefer to do something similar to progressive download – watch while downloading. Is the generated SWF required to be completely downloaded before it can be viewed?

You can still watch the *.swf files online while you are downloading them. The only thing that you will need is a downloader that is able to grab those videos and therefore the download will not affect the video that you are streaming online. Some of the applications that will give you that functionality are:

  • The internet download manager (Full Version) and
  • The orbit downloader.

You will need to make sure that whichever downloader that you are using launches when you restart your computer. When you are accessing a site and you start streaming a video, a button will appear asking you if you want to download that video. You will just click on that button and the video will be queued in the downloader.
