After installing Symantec backup exec system recovery 2010 on my Windows 7 machine although I was able to install agent remotely, I cannot connect to the agent where I installed the system recovery agent. What should I do next?
The error message I got is:-
How to solve Symantec backup exec system recovery 2010 console is unable to connect to remote windows 7 agent issue.
One of the main reason behind this issue is because windows 7 comes with its own firewall system with advanced security preinstalled in it. And the windows firewall accelerates or enhances the security features on both the server and client side. Now let us see how we can fix this issue.
For a first aid solution, you can try rebooting the agent because you usually need to reboot your agent after installation. Now coming to the above reason you can add the exceptions for VProSvc.exe and VProTray.exe in your Firewall.
In 32 bit Os you will get the above-mentioned files in Program Files, Symantec, Backup Exec System Recovery, Agent, and in 64bit OS go to Program Files (x86), Symantec, Backup Exec System Recovery, Agent.
