Please do follow steps to troubleshoot your issue-
Make sure that Windows Update service is running
Step 1- Open Control Panel and go to Administrative Tools.
Step 2- Find and run Services.
Step 3- When the Services window opens find Windows Update service and double click it to open its Properties.
Step 4- In Windows Update Properties find Startup Type and from the drop down choose Automatic. Also, check the Service status, and if the status isn’t set to Running click the Start button in that section to start it.
Click OK to save your settings and restart your computer.
