There are multiple ways to fix the unhandled exception error:

  • Scan your PC. Press Windows + R; the ‘Run’ dialog box will open. Write ‘cmd’ in the text box and then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter together to access the command prompt as administrator. Type ‘sfc /scannow in the command prompt and press Enter. The process of scanning will take some time to complete. Try restarting your PC and see if the error persists.
  • Follow this method if your error was not fixed. Install Microsoft .NET framework. If you do not have Microsoft .NET Framework, download it from the official site of Microsoft. Here is the link:

https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net48

Download the file and follow easy steps to install the application. After installation, restart your PC, the ‘unhandled exception error’ should have fixed by now.

  • If you already have Microsoft .NET framework and still experiencing errors. Go to ‘Control Panel,’ click on ‘Programs,’ and then click on ‘Programs and Features.’ Search for ‘Microsoft .NET Framework’ right-click on it and click on ‘Uninstall.’ A new dialog will open, click on repair, and follow the steps to finish. It may solve your problem.
  • Make sure that that you are using the updated version of Windows. To check if you have the updated version, click on Start Menu and then click on the gear icon to open ‘Settings’ or type ‘Settings’ in the Search Bar of Start Menu. Search for ‘Update & Security,’ and click on it.

To see if there is any update or not, Left-click on ‘Check for updates.’
