We encrypt messages so as to keep privacy between the sender and receiver. To ensure this, the sender sends the message in the form of cipher text. So, when the receiver receives the cipher text; he needs to enter the private key which both sender and receiver share.

To encrypt a single message:

  1. In the message that you are going to compose, go to ‘File,’ then ‘Properties.’
  2. In the ‘Security Settings,’ tick the checkbox corresponding to ‘Encrypt message contents and attachments.’
  3. Now write your message and send it.

To encrypt all the messages:

  1. In the ‘File’ tab, select ‘Options,’ then go to ‘Trust Center’ and then, ‘Trust Center Settings.’
  2. ‘Email Security’ tab will open. In this below the ‘Encrypted email,’ tick the checkbox corresponding to ‘Encrypt contents and attachments for messages for outgoing messages.’
  3. Open the ‘Settings,’ to make any other specific changes.

After this, all the messages you send will be encrypted. So, you need to provide the digital ID to decrypt these messages.
