Event viewer is used for the record of the detailed information regarding any kinds of events or important reminders and meetings in your desktop so that you can keep yourself prepared for the upcoming events. If you want to clear the event viewer in one click, then here is the solution for this –

1.) You should sign in as administrator if you have not otherwise you will not be able to run the event viewer.

2.) Click the elevated command prompt in the event viewer dialog box and paste the specific command written below there and press enter.
for /F “tokens=*” %1 in (‘wevtutil.exe el’) DO wevtutil.exe cl “%1”

3.) Your event logs have been cleared, and you can close the dialog box.

If you want to clear or empty the system log, on your desktop, click “Start,” “Control Panel,” “Administrative Tools” then double-click “Event Viewer.” In either pane of the Event Viewer window, right-click “System” and select “Clear All Events.” To save the current system log, click “Yes” when you are prompted with “Do you want to save ‘System’ before clearing it?” then enter a file name for the saved system log file.

Lastly, click “Save.” If this doesn’t help, try using the System File Checker utility. Press the Windows key then type without quotes “cmd” in the search field. Right-click “cmd.exe” in the search results then select “Run as administrator” to launch an elevated command prompt. In the command prompt window, type the following command then hit Enter:

sfc /scannow

Insert your Windows installation CD or DVD when you are prompted then continue. Wait until the process is complete. When it is finished, close the command prompt then restart the computer.
