Hi Bertha,

One way of stopping a printing job in XP is to click the printer icon which is beside the time on your desktop. It will open the print jobs to the printer. Then you can highlight the job you want to cancel or pause then right click and it will open an option to either pause or cancel the job.

If you only pause the job then you can still continue to print it when you want to. However, for cancelled jobs it will disappear on the printer job as soon as you cancel it. Hope this helps.

Hello dear Bertha Friffen,

Thanks for sharing. It's a very simple problem and you can solve it very easily. If you are in such a situation where you gave the command to print 20 copies to be printed but almost immediately you realize that there is something wrong and you have to immediately stop the printing. Just go to the printing shortcut on the left side, click it to stop Printing.

I hope now you know how to stop the printing. Thanks.
