I am using ESX4.0 for VMs host and want to map 2one volume for 2 vms to build the cluster.
SAN is attached on host with HBA cards In this case how i will map the SAN on VMs for cluster, SAN should be mapped directly like as physical host.

How to map shared volume on 2 VMS?
Hello Nadeemrao,
Raw device mapping will help you cluster the virtual machine boxes in any MSCS clustering scenario that will help span the physical hosts in your network who in this case are the virtual to virtual groups and the physical to virtual ones as well. You should ensure that the quorum disks here are configured as RDMs as opposed to the file format on a shared virtual machine folder service.
Some modes that are useful in raw disk device mapping are the physical and virtual compatibility modes; hence during your configuration ensure that these modes are enabled so that the virtual machine can access LUN directly and also to enable other features such as snapshots which are found on the disk.

Hope this helps.
