Hello guys,

I am using Windows7 (32bit) operating system Desktop computer with 2GB DDR2 RAM. But I see that from "Control PanelSystem and SecuritySystem" it shows "Installed memory (RAM): 2.00 GB (1.90 GB usable)". Can you tell me how can I remove windows32 bit memory limit. I Google and found it may be blocked for windows 32bit. Please do not ask any question. I have not much knowledge about this issue.

Hi Loraine,

To make things clear, Windows 7 32-bit can only use a maximum of 4GB, if you installed more than 4GB of RAM, then you must use the 64-bit version of the OS.

With the usable amount of RAM, this is not a limitation but more about how Windows 7 Operating System behaves. The OS reserves some of the RAM Memory which is to be used by other hardware like Video Card, this is especially true if you are using an onboard video card.

Hope this clears your concern about Windows 7 blocking or limiting your usable RAM.
