Greetings Techyv members. I need more information on hitachi repair hdd software available in the net for download. Do I need to pay something for this kind of diagnostic help? What are the steps needed for me to diagnose my hitachi hard drive effectively. What can you recommend to me? Please provide me a detailed guide for this.

I would suggest you try Drive Fitness Test. The logic behind this program is that it accesses the Hitachi micro mode in order to perform a detailed diagnosis of the HDD.Â
In this micro mode you will be able to check HDD error logs showing any possible error with the hard disk. This log file is saved in a special reserved area for further investigation if necessary.Â
Micro Mode checks also other parameters such as : disk shift , Repeatable Runout and similar mechanical information. Â
So basically DFT will show you the following :Â
1. If HDD has problems
2. If the HDD is damaged by a shock
3. If HDD will fail soonÂ
4. If the drive is working properly and that there is no need for change. Â Â
Just install the soft and everything also will be shown easily in the program interface.
