Hello,

How to fixed corrupt files in Nokia e71? My Nokia e71 has been with me for almost 5 months and it is so hard to give it up because it was corrupted by some viruses which I cannot use it anymore. When I try to turn it on it never continue to load all the mobile phone’s information such as contact lists and messages. I hope you can give me an advice on how to fix this.

Thank you.

Since you can no longer access your phone menu to backup your files, you should do a hard format. This can be done by turning off your phone and holding the * button + call button and number 3 button at the same time. You must hold these 3 buttons at the same time, then press "on" and wait for the phone to show the "choose country".

If you are able to see this, it means that your phone has successful formatted. Also, make sure you remove your memory card. Your card should be formatted on a PC or laptop to remove the virus.

You can try to reset you Nokia E71. Try the soft reset but don't forget to backup all your data. These will be deleted after performing the reset. To do this, simply key in *#7370#. If the problem still occurs try to reset to factory default by typing *#7780#. This will reset your Nokia phone to default factory settings.

Or try the hard reset. Switch off your phone and then hold down the answer button, the * button and the number 3 button. Hold the three buttons while holding the power switch to turn your phone on. Release your fingers when the Nokia logo appears.
