I own a Maxtor 160GB hard drive that I was planning to use to put .mp4 videos on so I can view them on my ps3. I found out online for the ps3 to recognize the hard drive it is required to FAT32. I followed how’s directions but quit half way. Now when I connect the hard drive to the computer it does not recognize the hard drive. How do I fix this problem?

Hi dear,

May be your HDD having some back sector or broken partition. Did you completed to convert file system in Fat32? May be file system or partition of HDD is lost. There are many ways to recover any HDD drives. You can choose any option you like.

Are you using windows XP? If you are then connect that HDD with your system. Now use software to restore those drives. You can use “KillDisk for Windows” or “Norton partition manager” for recover those partitions or file system. Just collect one of this software.

After that use a data recovery software to recover all data that HDD have. You can use this software “Recover My Files” for this job.
