How to fix memory problem of a computer?

This is a three month old Celeron desktop computer. It all started about the time I started making new user accounts but every time I reboot my computer I hear continues and annoying sound that really bugs me off. And when I'm using my computer it suddenly restarts.

And when it restarts, I hears the annoying sound again. I don't know where it came from. I checked inside the CPU but I think its all okay. So I reboot my computer again to try it once again but nothing happen. My friend told me that could be the memory. How will I fix this problem?

Hi,

What type of Memory Stick you use and how much the frequency/MHz?

Well to fix this problem is: If you heard Beep sounds in your System unit, well that's the memory problem, first you need to remove your Memory stick BUT be careful, if you are going to remove the Memory stick first things first the safety procedure makes sure you remove your watch or rings in your hand, and Touch first the Case of the System Unit in order to drain the static Electricity, if your not going to do this step your memory stick will be damaged and you will no longer use it to your computer, After removing the memory go clean the Gold Conductor Teeth of the memory using the pencil eraser, after its clean try to put it back. If it is not working maybe your Hard Disk Drive is damage, try to unplug the cable of the HDD either SATA or IDE then plug in back to the HDD and power on your computer.

Try also to scan your Computer with updated antivirus, if you update your antivirus try to complete scan, if it make your computer slow than a turtle then, try in safe mode. Restart your computer then Press F8 after the POST i mean the details of your Motherboard screen, then select safe mode, and Scan completely. Try also to remove your HDD and try it to other computer as Slave and use chkdsk to scan any bad sectors of your HDD. If you believe that memory is the problem, then remove a single stick of Memory Stick if your using 2 RAM Stick in your Motherboard, sometimes if you have 2 stick have installed in your motherboard, like e. g 1 GB + 1 GB = 2 GB then if one of the memory is damage then it will affect your computers process.

Hope this steps will help you out.

In my opinion it’s a power supply problem because as you say that your computer fails after some time and make some warning beeps, it means that either their is a short circuit in your power supply or in your Motherboard. But it can also be through a motherboard which can cause problem.

You have to locate where the problem is and how you can fix it. But does it only if you are expert, if not then don’t try it. Although the fault is of power supply it is may be giving less voltages, short circuit or may be damaged and that's why your PC is giving the beep sound. Keep in mind that if the problem is not solved then it can cause a big problem also so try to remove your problem first and then boot your system.

Hello Dear,

It is your RAM that is generating the beeps. In fact, your RAM is of low quality, so it heats up, and whenever you start working on the computer, it will suddenly restart.

This is due to dust. Dust creates very large issues. It creates black carbon on connecting edges. You can see it. Just remove the RAM, clean its edges, and then put it back into the slot.

I hope this RAM works well now.

Thanks.
