Hello Shannon,

You cannot exactly create the Sand effect created in the game Journey. But, you can closely mimic it by using the "Trail Renderer" feature in your Unity3D. By using "Trail Renderer" you can use different materials to use as sand, in your case sand. You can also:

  • Set the colors for the trails.
  • Width of the trails.
  • Minimum Vertex Distance.
