I am new to WordPress and I have been posting some stuff on my blog. I realized that there are times when I have a very long document which I cannot create as a post and therefore I would like to have them attached. Is there a way I can post Microsoft Word blog post WordPress so that people can simply click on it and it opens? Thanks a bunch.

It is possible to attach Microsoft Word documents in WordPress.
If, lets say you have already posted a blog entry, and you want to attach a Microsoft Word document to that post, what you can do is edit the post and you will be able to find a button that says “Add Media”. You just need to click on that box and it will allow you to upload a Microsoft Word document. Other file formats that you can upload are the ones with the following extensions: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, doc, ppt, odt, pptx, docx, pps, ppsx, xls, xlsx.
Once you have uploaded the file, make the necessary changes to your blog post and then click on “Update”.
Take note that the maximum file upload size is 1GB.
