How do I restore backup cuteFTP connections?

If you have tapping in CuteFTP 9 and you want to restore the originals in your Site Manager, this basically is just a simple copy and paste formula provided that you have already made a backup before and stored the sm.dat somewhere in your desktop.

In your Windows Vista the location of the Site Manager is "C:ProgramDataGlobalSCAPECuteFTP 8 [Home/Professional]"

To make sure this the right location you can follow the procedures below:

• Step 1: Open CuteFTP.
• Step 2: Click Tools > Global Options, then click the Security node.
• Step 3: Copy the path inserted in the Site Manager path box.

• Step 4: Open Windows Explorer, and then navigate to the Site Manager path.
• Step 5: Open another Windows Explorer and navigate to your sm.dat backup directory.
• Step 6: Paste your backup to the Site Manager directory and overite the sm.dat file

If you want to restore the CuteFTP to its original default settings copy the sm.dat file in your CuteFTP installation directory to the Site Manager directory.
