I urgently want to remove domain controller from active directory as I have made some changes to the directory and my previous domain controller is not being accepted. I am seeing continuous errors and I think this is lagging my system. Can anyone help me with this?

First click Start then type dcpromo in the Run dialogue box and press Enter key. Click Next on the Welcome to Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard page. A warning message appears to inform you about the effects of removing a global catalog server if the domain is a global catalogue server. Press ok to proceed. Make no selections on the Delete the domain page and click next.

View the application directory partition in the list if the domain has them on the Application Directory Partition page and then remove or retain application partition as follows. Select the option to delete all application directory partition on the domain controller if the confirmation page appears and select next.

On the Remove DNS Delegation page, verify that the delete the DNS delegation points to this server check box is selected and then press Next. Enter administrative credentials for the server that hosts the DNS zones that contain the DNS delegation for this server if necessary and then click next.
