How to disable Internet Download Manager Plugin of Firefox

I am using Internet Download manager 6.05. After installing it, I added a plugin on Firefox, then I disabled the plugin because I wanted to download software using Firefox, but IDM is still doing the downloads. How can I disable IDM for Firefox?

How to disable Internet Download Manager Plugin of Firefox

Hello Tammy, Mozilla firefox 4 and the latest software versions of Firefox really is a good browser; this can be compared to Internet Explorer 8 or 9 version. It is fast in browsing because of its stability and its features and it looks nice.

To disable IDM in Firefox, do the following: Open Firefox, click download manager, Go to Download, General then Edit button Remove  check marks in all video and audio format. Click OK and that should take care of this. Enjoy your downloads.

How to disable Internet Download Manager Plugin of Firefox

It is not true that Mozilla Firefox 4 doesn’t support the Internet Download Manager. I’ve been using IDM for a long time since Firefox 3 and it works well.

By the way your problem is disabling the IDM plug-in in Mozilla Firefox. There are two options. First is to remove the plug-in from Mozilla Firefox. Just click Tools on the menu bar then select Add-ons, or just press Ctrl + Shift + A, then select Extensions then look for IDM CC and click the disable button beside it.

Another option is open IDM then click Options. On the General tab under capture download list, uncheck  Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox then click Ok.

Hi Tammy,

You must remove the IDM CC from the Firefox add-on. Just follow these steps:

1.)   Open Firefox then click the tools from the menu which located at the top of the window then hit Add-ons.

2.)   Click the Extension Tab for you to see all installed plug in on your Firefox browser.

3.)   Then Hit Remove IDM CC.

4.)   To make it totally working you must have to restart the browser.
