How to convert .DAT videos to MPEG format?

Hi there ,

It seems you are having trouble with conversation of the .DAT files to other video formats like the MPG or MPEG.

The best way to do that is by using video converters .

Video converters are very useful and they use certain libraries and keep the video tight and perfect.

Nowadays Video converters are becoming so  user friendly . There  was time when i used it and found so hard to understand. Now these video converters are so hardened and complex inside but we can use them very simply with improved UI (user interface) .

Try on downloading the video converters like The TVC or total video converter or All video converters.

Or specifically download from this page

Good luck.

How to convert .DAT videos to MPEG format?

Normally, videos that are in .DAT format are VCD or SVCD videos. This is the common format used when VCDs are still popular before and even nowadays VCDs are still available. If you’ll insert a VCD disc on your optical drive and you’ll browse its contents, you will find several .DAT files in there. But this doesn’t mean that all .DAT files on the disc are videos.

You can find the video in the MPEGAV folder usually bears the name MUSIC01.DAT. Videos in DAT format can always be played using any media player. If you want to convert it into MPEG format, you can use ImTOO MPEG Encoder to convert the file. It supports different video formats such as AVI, WMV, MPEG, DivX, MP4, 3GP, MOV, FLV, PSP MPEG-4, iPod MPEG-4, and more.

Though you cannot see DAT format among the supported file formats, it can convert DAT videos. Videos in DAT format are MPEG1-type video which generally belongs to the MPEG format. Another way of converting the DAT video is through VLC media player. Please refer to Audio Converter Needed and use it as reference. In the page, instead of selecting audio, do the opposite and select video.
