  • You have to connect your computer, to the router directly using an Ethernet cord. Then, open a browser and clear the address bar. Enter 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, depends on your router brand or model, then hit enter.
  • It will ask you for an admin login and password. By default, the username would be "admin" and password is "password." It will open your router's page, or its what we call the Graphical User Interface, or the GUI.
  • In this page we can reconfigure or change any settings we want on the router. The appearance and the placements of the options differ from router brands.
  • Once you're inside the GUI, everything else would be pretty much self-explanatory. If you want to change something in your wireless set up, select the option for wireless.

Hope this helps.

Hi there Sam,

well in order for you to find the settings of your router, you need to:

  • Connect your computer, to your router using an Ethernet cord.
  • Open a browser like Internet explorer or Firefox.
  • On the very top bar with "http",clear it and type in either 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1.
  • For the User Interface that appears, asking for Authentication, use "admin" for the Username and "password" for the password.
  • You can now check the settings of your router.

Hope this helps.
