In these days hard disk technology is the best thinking technology to store data and that's the reason that each computer has a hard disk with it which stores the data for that computer. But as the technology is growing may be in a few years you see only some components for storing data.

It is easy to store data on hard disk rather than other methods as it takes less time to store data and to manipulate data. So it is used mostly to store data in a computer. The hard disk can be of different sizes that allows you to store different data. A big capacity data can be stored on a big capacity hard disk.
