How can uninstall the free avast toolbar
There's a solution regards to your problem. To uninstall or delete the free Avast toolbar, all you need to do is turn off your computer and reboot it in safe mode. Just hold the shift after the boot sound appears.
After that click delete to remove the Avast application.

To answer your question, below are the steps to completely uninstall your Avast anti-virus on your computer:
*First and foremost download aswClear.exe on your desktop.
*Secondly, disable the self protection system of Avast.
*Third, you should run the download utility.
*Fourth, locate the folder where Avast was saved. (Be sure to choose the correct folder since the content will be permanently deleted already).
*Fifth, click uninstall.
*Lastly but not the least, when it is already prompting, click "YES" to restart computer.
