How can I restore NTLDR back?

Hello, I accidentally deleted NTLDR(NT Loader) in my laptop, I wonder if there is a way to recover it without reformatting or reinstalling the operating system? My Windows XP doesn't load up and says "NTLDR MISSING". I was deleting hidden files recently and I don't know about NTLDR it doesn't sound familiar to me that's why I deleted it, it was too late when I knew what is it for. Is there a way to recover it? because I don't want to Reformat my operating system because of some important files in it.. Thank you.

Hi,

To solve this problem you will need your Emergency Repair disk so that you will be able to run the system console. Do not forget to change the settings in your BIOS you boot from CD Drive first before anywhere else. After you have gotten your Recovery Console to run simply follow the steps on the Recovery console and everything should be ok. If that still did not repair the problem, one way of retrieving the files that you need is to take out the hard drive from your computer and plug it into another computer system and set your hard drive as a slave drive. Setting your computer system as a slave will let you have access to your files and you will be able to transfer any important files that you need before formatting your drive.
