I have a 80GB hard disk that responds slowly when copying, How can I improve on its speed? I have tried disk defrag mentation and checked for errors but still the access speeds are very low. It takes longer for it to copy a small file that I feel it should have taken a shorter while. can this be improved?

If your system is to slow to copying any content then it might be possible that your system have unnecessary files. For that you should check first performance your system.
Checking system performance
If you do not have any application for checking performance then please install nova bench app.It will show the pc performance level.
Click on test and then click run all test. It will show the overall performance of system.
The most commonly things that slow pc performance that large number of fragmented files. For that one utility is there called ultimate defrag. It will locate all files and placed in right location.
In the options the c drive will show and check mark on automatic.And finally press start.
Cleaning unnecessary file
For deleting unnecessary files and folder we can use c cleaner or wise disk cleaner. The best way to finding unnecessary files you should use wise disk cleaner.
Check mark all the files and folder which includes tempera files. And after that remove that.You can also delete cookie and junk files using that app.
In result it will improve the performance speed of pc.
