How can I fix restore date?
Hi Fanny!
Since there was no longer available restore point while performing the system restore in the normal mode and your Norton Antivirus could no longer remove those pop-ups then you can also try to perform the system restore in safe mode by following this link: Download Link1 or in command prompt by following this link: Download Link2. If these steps will not work then I would suggest that you need to reinstall your operating system to totally wipe out those virus or spyware. But before doing so, you need to back up all of your important files or documents because it would delete it. Please check this link in reinstalling Windows XP which will serve as your guide: Download Link3.

System Restore point once deleted and unavailable could not be undo. Check if in case there is any restore point created for the previous month and the month before that. If not found you will not be able to perform system restore.
Looks like we have to reinstall those applications that are not working. That seems to be the only option left.

Find the applications that are not working and reinstall them.

I also encountered that problem with Norton after my computer got infected with a worm. Norton started throwing so many messages as the virus started to work its way in and infects the system. In this situation, uninstalling your antivirus is not a good option because it is your system’s weapon against this threat.
When you uninstalled your antivirus, you allowed the infection to spread and eat your entire system. In this case, restoring your system to a previous date is the least you can do but it is useless because system restore is not designed to remove an infection or a virus. If your computer is already infected with a virus, download Sophos Virus Removal Tool and install it.
It supports Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. Once installed, start Sophos then wait for the virus signature database to get updated. When updating is complete, click to start scanning your machine. The tool scans everything on your computer including external devices connected via USB port.
When a virus is found at the end of the scan, remove it then repeat the scan over and over until it no longer detects a virus. See if this works.
