Hi Emsley, I have read your query regarding motion detection software. I had a research on this and found two softwares that have excellent reviews from consumers. One is the iSpy, which is not just an ordinary webcam and microphone, but has a great performance on motion and sound detection. You can easily adjust its settings including the automatic recording of video whenever there is motion detected. Other features include time lapse and scheduled recording, automatic conversion from AVI to FLV and many more. You can also access your camera through the iSpy website.

Another good motion detection software is the HomeWatcher.  As its name implies, it’s perfect for your home. Aside from having all the same features that iSpy have, it also has an auto-zoom camera feature wherein it zooms and focuses on the action or motion that is taking place.

Both softwares are free to download.
